Escape to Le Petit Chateau - Wedding Photo Gallery
Couple: Megan & Jake
Venue: Le Petit Chateau, Otterburn
“Have received the parcel with the usb and loved the pictures!
Thank you so much!”
If you looked around while you were at Le Petit Chateau, you’d have a hard time believing you were in Otterburn.
This stunning, Medditerean-inspired venue transports you abroad, and while the cold weather in February for Jake and Megan’s wedding was the only giveaway you were still in England, it still made for an absolutely stunning backdrop for their beautiful wedding day.
We met Jake and Megan at their friend Maya and Tom’s wedding and were thrilled when they asked us to come along for a full day of photography at their wedding too.
Bridal Prep
Bridal prep at Le Petit Chateau takes place in an apartment on the ground floor. We were there bright and breezy with Megan and her bridesmaids, as well as their two dogs (we were very excited about this - combining together wedding and dog photos is always a plus!).
Sidenote: Megan and her bridesmaids probably got ready in the fastest time we’ve ever seen. It was truly a sight to behold.
The Groom Arrives
Jake wasn’t particularly bothered about prep photos, so we just captured some shots of Le Petit Chateau’s decor for the day, a few of Jake’s arrival and interactions with his groomsmen/best men as he waited for his lovely bride and the ceremony to begin.
Before the Ceremony
Just before you’re due to get married at Le Petit Chateau, the bride will be whisked away through secretive back passageways (it’s like a maze) to the bridal suite, where she’ll finish off getting in her dress.
Meanwhile, the groom is prepped by Master of Ceremonies Tim - a Le Petit Chateau staple - and welcomes guests into the stunning La Belle Épocue, Le Petit Chateau’s ceremony room.
Let’s Get Married
And now it’s time for the big moment! Megan and Jake’s wait was over as they tied the knot in front of their family, friends and no fewer than four dogs, who definitely made the song of their people heard as they joined in with the applause.
A French Riviera Experience…In Northumberland
Now that that whole marriage thing was out of the way, it was time for Megan and Jake to relax! The canapés emerged, the drinks started to flow, and we were on hand to capture all of the fun.
After a big of mingling, we borrowed Megan and Jake for a few minutes of posey shots before we let them get back to their party.
Once everyone filled themselves up on drinks and canapés, they were whisked inside for the speeches before their sit-down meal (we disappear for a while during this, nobody wants photos of them halfway through a beef dinner).
Then we return once more to capture some of the evening fun, including the first dance, a photobooth and even casino tables at this wedding!

Bonus Photos!
That was just a quick blitz through all of the things that happen on a wedding day - so here’s the best of the rest of the photos!
