10 Alternative Wedding Bouquet Ideas

We love anything quirky here at Booth & Curtis Photography, so we thought why not write a blog outlining the different ways you can jazz up your wedding bouquets!

We bet there’s a few ideas here that you never thought of and they’ll probably work out a lot cheaper than your traditional floral bouquet.

Silk Flowers

The first of our ‘flowers that will last forever’ in this blog - but they really will! You can get some beautiful silk flowers that look as good as the real thing, but unlike the real thing, will last a lifetime!

Feeling Feathery?

There’s loads of different ways you can incorporate feathers into your wedding bouquets. Firstly, you can simply have a feather bouquet, like the one in this stunning photo or you can add a few into your bouquet for texture. Imagine a few peacock feathers, peeking through your flowers, complimenting the colours in your bouquet and making a statement!

Citrus Bouquet

There’s two ways you can do this; an entire wedding bouquet made simply of citrus fruits or pop the odd citrus fruit into your wedding bouquet to give it a bit of a zing, just like the one in the picture. And if you get peckish, you could also grab a fruit to keep you going until your wedding breakfast! Win-win.

Calling all Veg Lovers!

Now, stick with us here…you may think we’ve gone a bit mad, but just look at this vegetable-inspired bouquet! Not all vegetables are suitable for a wedding bouquet, however a lovely purple broccoli and some asparagus tips, can give your bouquet that POP of texture and colour.

You’ll also get to take them home and use them up on your Sunday dinner, if you fancy. #Ecofriendly

Hooped Bouquets

Don’t fancy holding a bouquet in the traditional way, then why not use a gorgeous hoop dressed in flowers? It’ll make you stand out and maybe even inspire others to do the same – you trendsetter, you.

Dried Flowers

Another wedding bouquet that will last forever and most probably won’t break the bank either!

Ideal for rustic and Boho style weddings, you can play around with a lot of different textures and colours; and be honest, who doesn’t love a bit of pampas grass?

Crown & Glory

You may be thinking of ditching the veil, so why not incorporate your wedding flowers too and have yourself a floral crown?

It’ll keep your hands free too for dancing and signing that all-important wedding register.

All About Fern

“Who’s Fern?” I hear you ask! No - we’re talking about that amazing plant that has been around since the dinosaurs!

You could have a full fern bouquet - there are over 50 different types of ferns out there - or pop some other gorgeous greenery into the mix, for more textures and colour.

Lovely Lavendar

Who doesn’t love the smell of lavender? Just imagine walking down the aisle with that amazing scent joining you.

Another style which is ideal for a Boho/Rustic wedding, with its subtle colours and minimalistic style.

Paper Posy

The last of our alternative wedding bouquets and the last of our bouquets that will last forever!

If you’re feeling crafty, you could make this yourself, get a friend involved or buy one of the many pre-made bouquets from Etsy and beyond.

To add a sentimental touch, you could use pages from a favourite book or how about the sheet music from your first dance?
