Wedding Photography North East - How Much Does it Cost?

Bride boops the nose of a groom

There’s absolutely loads to think about when you’re planning your wedding.

Where’s it gonna be? When is it? What will we wear? Do we really need to invite great Uncle Archie who’ll just sit there and get really drunk and probably offend someone? In the case of that latter one, we’d recommend a hearty NOPE.

If you’re thinking about having a professional photographer at your wedding, there’s probably one thing you’re really thinking about: how much does wedding photography cost?

Don’t Just Think of the Cost - Think About the Memories

We’ll be honest with you.

As north east wedding photographers in our own right, we know wedding photography isn’t the cheapest thing on the planet.

However, one thing we’d always say to our clients is don’t just think of the money; think about what you’re actually paying for.

You’re not just paying for a photographer; you’re paying for someone professional who will capture the memories of one of the most special days of your life.

Can you really put a price on that?

A Wedding Photographer Works for More than Just a Day

A photographer shows up, takes a load of photos, takes them off the camera, then sends it to you. Right? Nope!

Wedding photographers do so much more than most people think they do.

During the day at your wedding, the photographer will be working all day to shoot as many photos and capture as many memories of your big day as possible.

Then when they leave, they’ll:

  • Take those photos off their camera and ensure they’ve got backups

  • Painstakingly go through every photo, selecting the best ones and removing some they don’t think are up to scratch

  • Spend a significant portion of time professionally retouching your photos using editing software to make them look the best they can possibly be

  • Upload your photos to a gallery, or organise sending them to you on a USB stick

So, in short, you’re paying for more than a day’s work with a wedding photographer. So if you think about it, you’re actually getting great value for money!

It May Not Cost as Much as You Think!

There’s some photographers out there who’ll charge you an absolute arm and leg, the kitchen sink, ten sheckles and all of your savings to come to your wedding.

That’s on them, and if you want to pay loads for your north east wedding photographer, we won’t stop you!

At Booth and Curtis Photography, we don’t believe in overcharging for our wedding photography services.

We’re completely transparent about our pricing - we have three packages available, and the only cost on top of these you’ll receive is a mileage charge.

Half Day Wedding Photography Package - £800

Some brides and grooms aren’t interested in capturing the entire day. You may just be after the ‘best bits’ like your wedding ceremony, your reception, the cake cutting and other things in between.

If that’s you - then our half-day wedding photography package could be the one for you!

This one includes:

  • 2 x photographers (you’ll always get both Booth & Curtis shooting at your wedding)

  • Half a day of photography, usually covering around six hours

  • Professional photo retouching after the ceremony in the B&C house style

Full Day Wedding Photography Package - £1250

After the whole shebang, covering your entire wedding across the entire day?

No matter what photographer you choose, you’ll pay a bit more for this one. Depending on who you pick, the amount of coverage they offer might also vary.

At Booth & Curtis Photography, our full-day package includes:

  • 2 x photographers - once again, we’ll both be there with bells on.

  • A full day of photography. We’ll be with you from about 9:00 in the morning for bridal and groom prep, your wedding ceremony, the reception, your first dance, the speeches and absolutely everything that happens in between, and we don’t go until about a half hour after your first dance.

  • Professional photo retouching after the ceremony in the B&C house style

  • A pre-wedding shoot (if you want one!) - ideal for getting to know us and getting used to being in front of the camera

  • A USB keepsake with all of your photos + an online gallery to share with your family and friends!

How Much Does Wedding Photography Cost? Not as Bad as You Thought, Right?

It’ll completely vary on the photographer, but your north east wedding photography doesn’t have to cost you an absolute fortune.
