Rebecca & Stephen’s October wedding in 2024 took place at the stunning new Durham registry office, also known as The Story.
If you’re lucky enough to get married in this beautiful renovated building, you can expect some really lovely photos as it’s really nicely lit and - to be quite honest - a wedding photographer’s dream!
Here’s a bit of everything that happened on Rebecca & Stephen’s wedding day.
Wedding Prep
This was one of those weddings where it possibly couldn’t be closer for us - Rebecca & Stephen literally live around the corner from us in Coxhoe!
We both visited Rebecca on the morning of the wedding to get some of her pre-wedding preparations.
The Ceremony
Welcome to The Story, Durham Registry Office! As we said previously, this beautiful new version of the office is - honestly - up there with some of the nicest in the area.
Rebecca and Stephen got married in the largest of the Story’s three wedding ceremony rooms, and it made for some beautiful photos with a cameo from their little boy, who just wanted to be close to his mam and dad.
It’s not just inside Durham’s Registry Office The Story that’s lovely! The beautiful building outside proves a great backdrop for group shots too.
Afterwards, we took Rebecca, Stephen and their little boy away to Wharton Park in Durham for some posed shots with just the three of them.

Hitting the Town(House)
Rebecca and Stephen finished their wedding day with a small, intimate do at the Town House restaurant in Durham City centre. After arriving in style in their black camper van, the newlyweds were treated to a sumptuous meat feast from the BBQ outside.
