For this wedding, we headed down to Stockton-On-Tees for some beautiful wedding photos with the lovely Emily & Tez.

They booked us for the full day, so Crystal spent the morning with the girls, while Dan was with the boys.

Their wedding took place in September 2023; you’d think the Summer would be over by then, but it ended up being one of the hottest days of the year!

This is the story of Emily and Tez’s wedding day.

Bridal Prep

We say it all the time, but the beauty of us working together is that each group getting ready can have their own photographer.

In this case, Crystal spent the morning with the bridal party, where she was on-hand to capture all of the prep and the fun that happens in the nervous buildup to the wedding.

Groom Prep

Meanwhile, in another location in Stockton, Dan joined Tez and his groomsmen for a very memorable morning at their family home.

In a moment Dan will absolutely never forget, the groomsmen threw Tez up into the air for some fun photos that got everyone relaxed, laughing and having a good time before the wedding kicked off. The joy on Tez’s face is a true sight to behold.

A special shoutout of course to best boy doggie Onyx, who was also more than happy to pose for his photo taken (and get stroked. A lot.).

Ceremony Time!

As a religious family, Emily and Tez got married in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Stockton, in a beautiful ceremony with readings by their nearest and dearest.

Bright, airy and full of natural light, the Church made a stunning backdrop for their vows (and was great for their photos too!).

Posing & Group Shots

That’s the scary bit done! Now it’s time for a few quick posey shots (takes about half an hour) and then the two newlyweds head off to enjoy the rest of the night as we linger in the shadows like photography ninjas.

Tez and Emily chose their venue - the Tees Valley Watersports Centre - as it overlooked the bench where they had their very first kiss. Naturally, we couldn’t resist the temptation to take them back to that exact same place for some photos they’ll be able to treasure forever.

Stockton’s bridge also proved a fantastic backdrop for some wedding photos too.

Oh, and we also bumped into another bride and groom, doing the exact same thing (getting photos on the bridge)! Even more spookily, Emily had just bumped into the same bride the day previously in the nail salon.

It’s time for tears, laughs and lots of love as the speeches kick off, with a very moving speech by Emily’s father being one of the highlights of the evening.

After that, it’s time to cut the cake, hit the dance floor, and start the party!
