Not Your Teepee-ical Wedding
Couple: Lisa & Lee
Venue: Sunderland City Hall (Ceremony) + Port of Call (Reception)
“We want to say a huge thank you to Dan for the most amazing experience on our wedding day. You captured the most beautiful images that we can treasure forever. Your attention to detail was second to none, you did such a fantastic job considering you were single handed while your right hand was away at fall out boys! :) You made us all feel at ease and the day couldn’t of gone any better, we would definitely recommend to any future wedding party what a fantastic photographer, all our best to you in the future.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ”
A wee bit of an unusual wedding this one! Here at B&C we always come as a pair, but for this one exception, Crystal was already booked up to go and see Fall Out Boy up in Glasgow, leaving Dan alone to photo the wedding himself.
It was also unusual because the reception took place in Port of Call’s teepee out the back (see, now the Teepee-ical title makes sense, doesn’t it?).
Lisa & Lee’s day took place entirely in Sunderland with everybody staying at the local Holiday Inn on the morning, handily just across the road from the venue.
Bridal & Groom Prep
Lisa got ready in a room literally just above Lee’s at the Holiday Inn, where along with her bridesmaids and other members of the bridal party we all had a good laugh, took some snaps and prepared for the big moment later on.
Dan spent the morning trekking up and down between the two rooms, making sure there were shots of both the bridal and groom parties.
You wouldn’t quite believe how close Lisa and Lee’s wedding venue - Sunderland City Hall, was to where they were staying.
You could literally see it from the window! Lisa made the trek over the road in her wedding dress, where she was greeted by her bridesmaids, while Lee waited nervously upstairs for her arrival.
Arrivals
The Ceremony
Here it was at last! Lisa and Lee tied the knot in front of their nearest and dearest in a lovely ceremony on the middle floor of Sunderland City Hall.
It all went down without a hitch and there was love, laughs and we think we even spotted a tear or two as well!
Tunnels & Confetti
It’s all done! Lisa & Lee tied the knot and now it was time for getting everybody together for a few posey shots!
We got everyone to make a tunnel for Lisa & Lee to walk down at the City Hall before borrowing them for a few individual shots, then we did another tunnel later when we arrived at the Port of Call for the night reception.
Teepee or Not Teepee
In this case, definitely teepee!
As previously mentioned, Lisa & Lee’s reception took place at the Port of Call in Sunderland, which has a lovely teepee area out the back that makes the perfect environment for a wedding do.
It was in here that everything happened - the evening meal, the speeches, cutting of the cake and — of course, the first dance too!
Bonus Photos!
And here’s the best of the rest of what happened on Lisa & Lee’s wedding day!
