Quite the Stag Do! - Wedding Photography Gallery

Couple: Miranda & David
Venue: Derwent Manor Hotel, Allensford

Very heartfelt experience and way beyond what we expected. How brilliant having 2 photographers so no unexpected moments missed. They truly were part of our day and wouldn’t have expected this, totally genuine and can’t recommend enough.
They both become so important to our day and slotted in perfectly!!! You put a lot of trust into your photographer and I’d defo put the trust in their hands.

— Miranda & David

A bit of a hidden gem nested on the outskirts of Allensford, near Consett in County Durham, Derwent Manor Hotel is a stunning place to get married.

Miranda & David booked us for on our full day wedding photography package for their wedding at this lovely venue, meaning we had plenty of opportunities to get photos of prep, the ceremony, evening do and everything in between too!

They got married in Derwent Manor Hotel’s amazing Grand Hall which - honestly! - has the most impressive, massive chandelier we’ve even seen. The beautiful stag statues the hotel has outside are also amazing for wedding photos too, so we definitely had to get some of those.

Bridal Prep

One of the best things about doing a full day wedding is how much we get to know the amazing people we take photos for.

In the case of Miranda & David, we were basically adopted as part of the wedding party by the time morning prep was done!

We had a great laugh with everyone at the wedding, helping out wherever needed and - of course - snapping away those photos they didn’t even know they wanted.

Groom Prep

While we didn’t spent quite as long with David and his groomsmen as they were out for quite a bit of the morning at a local barbers getting their hair done, we definitely had to get them outside in the hot June sunshine for some quick before-wedding photos!

There was also time for a few games of pool and a cheeky early pint (or two!) to quell the nerves before the big event.

Derwent Manor Hotel’s Grand Ceremony Room certainly lives up to its name!

With an absolutely huge chandelier, plenty of space for all your guests during the ceremony, a dance floor, and the ability to easily be reconfigured for evening meal and night do, it has everything you’ll need during your wedding day.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the decor and a bit of the nervous wait before the big event, shall we?

The Big Moment

We quite often say it’ll be over before you know it, and here it was at last!

Months of planning, stress and effort all culminate in this - Miranda and David officially tying the knot!

After the ceremony, we do what we do best (after taking photos of course!) - namely, getting together the wedding party for those all-important confetti and group shots!

That confetti gets everywhere mind you - poor Miranda had plenty down her dress, while David had plenty in his hair!

Once those were all done, we whisked Miranda & David off for a few private shots of them both together.

Bonus Photos!

That was just a quick blitz through all of the things that happen on a wedding day - so here’s the best of the rest of the photos!

After reading all about us and our wedding photography, hopefully you’re thinking we might be the ones for the job.
