Looking for an intimate, exclusive wedding venue right here in the North East? Why not consider the Parlour at Blagdon?

Situated in an old smithy, this venue has a stunning barn renovation as a ceremony room, a function room, separate bar, accommodation and since its completely exclusive, it’s yours for your entire wedding day!

We loved the Parlour at Blagdon for its beautiful lighting, and we joined the lovely Avril & Chris there for an unforgettable wedding on our half day package.

Crystal and Dan just captured our day perfectly! They gave us everything we asked for and more from our pictures, They are just beautiful. Highly recommended Booth and Curtis to anyone getting married soon. Thank you both so much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As were here for a half day (Avril wasn’t bothered about her prep photos) we arrived about an hour early to ensure we got a few shots before the ceremony later that afternoon.

There was just enough time to squeeze in a few shots of the groom and his best man, the wedding rings, the ceremony room and the all-important first look of the father of the bride seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.

Before the Big Event

The Ceremony

It was time to shake off those nerves, before they knew it, Avril & Chris were both entering the Parlour at Blagdon’s ceremony room to get married!

They had a brief, beautiful ceremony in front of their loved ones, family and friends, including their two little ones who were also in attendance.

They did it! After their ceremony, Avril & Chris headed outside to the rear of the Parlour at Blagdon to be showered with confetti by their guests.

We always like to be as unobtrusive to wedding days as possible, so we also took the opportunity here to get group shots, as well as some more posey shots with Avril & Chris before they went off to enjoy the rest of their day.

Confetti Showers, a Bandstand and a Flying Groom

As the evening went on, we - as we always do - left the couple to eat their wedding breakfast (nobody wants photos of them eating!), before returning for the speeches, cake cutting and the all important first dance!

Avril and Chris’s first dance was particularly memorable as two of the bridesmaids secretly brought confetti cannons which we arranged with them to set off about thirty seconds into the dance!

The two newlyweds got a hell of a surprise as they went off, but the photos were 100% worth it!

Bonus Photos!

That was just a quick blitz through all of the things that happen on a wedding day - so here’s the best of the rest of the photos!
